In this small and bustling, busy community At the center lies the beautiful n’ ageless Queen Strong, elegant, graceful and poise She was perfection without all the noise Her plaited hair the colour of burning fire Her smile enough to ignite all desire Her skin the pale beauty of a moonfilled night By all accounts, she was an exquisite sight . Breathlessly she moved as the shadows Without a sound, the twisting halls she follows Today, a particular person she does seek As she walks amongst the newly awakened Keep Down to the cellar, where finally her journey ends To the wise old woman, to see what she portends. . Turning to her small pool of glistening stone The woman tells of a man who has journeyed alone From lands far and away from our little bustling Keep He travels in search of a whisper he hears in his sleep Whispers of a fate that was yet to be born Whispers of a woman living beyond the storms Gasping at the sight of her own face in the swirling waters The Queen also saw of a coming slaughter . One where here people lay dead and dying The Queen gasped, praying the waters were lying. Please, she begged, tell me what I must do There must be something to make this untrue Is this man linked to what is to come? Is he foe or ally, and where does he hail from? The Queen's voice bordered on quiet desperation Yet the elder was calm, as if it were any other occasion. . Relax, my Queen, for there is more to tell Come look deeper, deeper, into my well The Queen steeled herself for whatever she was about to see Unfortunately, it was a sight that brought her to her knees Disease, chaos, disorder, even *** All to be followed by a great and deadly pestilence. Please, old woman, I'll do everything that I can To prevent this future, and the arrival of that man.
