Or**** Posted November 23 This is gonna be hella nerdy, but hey, fuck it. I recently got my Uncle's GameCube repaired, and it has been an absolute blast to play games I haven't seen in 10~ years. As of late I've been dipping back into Zelda WindWaker, but also messing around with Pokemon Emerald, anyway, does anyone here have an interest in old school gaming? I'd love to hear your stories, and hell, maybe even make a friend or two!
Ar**** Posted November 25 I'm working through the entire Resident Evil series with my eldest, in chronological order 😂 (no re-makes) We're currently in the middle of the Outbreak games then I think will be on to Survivor next (although the structure of Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles mean we also keep dipping in and out of those).
Booty_Gobbler Posted November 25 Love old school gaming! The Wii having virtual console allowed me to grow up with classics like Ocarina of Time and Mario 64 which were absolute blasts to play through!
Rainydaye88 Posted November 25 GameCube definitely holds a special place in my heart. And in my console collection in general lol. Viewtiful Joe, harvest moon and re4 are still in my rotation for the rare times I sit still long enough to play.
Re**** Posted November 25 Wii! It plays GameCube, only one game on GameCube I liked, SW Rouge Squad. So never really had a reason to get the GameCube. Now unfortunately the store for buying older games for Wii is long gone, so unless you know someone, or someplace.
Me**** Posted November 25 Remember the RE 4 chainsaw controller? I remember seeing it at EB games for $60 now im seeing it on ebay for $500
Ju**** Posted November 25 THE console of my childhood, followed by the ds and wii. I dont have all the games I used to for it, but I've still got a decent collection
Pr**** Posted November 25 I love playing Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II (Very much offline) on my GameCube still.
Da**** Posted November 25 Game cube mods like the iBlue Controller ports mod and the video output over hdmi hard mods have made it a great project console too. Especially if you are a little handy with a soldering iron.
Sn**** Posted November 25 I still have my GBA (pokemon emerald being my first pokemon game) as well as my ds, psp, etc! I’ll charge em and revisit some of my old saves every bow and then too
Ar**** Posted November 25 Ooooh I've just remembered my fave GameCube game is Donkey Konga. Never managed to pick up a copy of the sequel, but I have two working sets of bongos which get dusted off occasionally and we run it on the Wii.
dr**** Posted November 25 Love the GC. Running games on an old 1st gen Wii but want a custom GC in the future to play region free
Tr**** Posted November 25 San Andreas ( GTA) The best game I’ve ever played, Getaway is a very close second ..
Hoadsta Posted November 25 I have an rg36 20k games from mega drive to nes to Atari. Great condole for the price.
St**** Posted November 25 The GameCube was by far my favorite old school console. GameCube games of choice have to be Chibi Robo, Super Smash Bros Melee, or sonic adventures 2.
Ne**** Posted November 26 I have an original GameCube, in silver, and love it more than any other console today. I even recreated the Cube in cake form for a kid's arcade Birthday. Complete with poured chocolate controllers, and Chaos Emeralds because SONIC!! Also, LOZ WW is perhaps my fav game of all time. It is part of my life; I've cosplayed characters from WW in particular [Mrs. Marie and Rose aka The Pig Lady.] I handed out thermoplastic Rupies to others at a con who were dressed as any LOZ character! I'd love to make friends over games, gaming, old-school jazz, electronics talk and so on Wooooo LOL
Ne**** Posted November 26 Super Monkey Ball I obtained a copy of Splinter Cell for the GameCube for 50 cents, ha! Sonic SoulCalibur II LOZ and I also possess a modded-out XBox with over 100 games on the drive, including 4player TMNT, pong, Excitebike, Frogger, Asteroid, so much more, it's hilarious and intoxicating!!
Mi**** Posted November 26 I have a N64, Game Cube, Xbox, and PS1&2 games. I just started adding to my collection again last spring. Got Tales of Destiny 2 and Gamers Guide! Looking for Legend of the Dragoons and more 64 games.
