I guess it depends on the person? I once had a caregiver who liked being called "Keeper"! And another one who liked being called "Bear"/"Big Bear"

Shouldn't make any difference. Mummy or Daddy is a role and not a gender. I wish we all could focus on the essence and conduct rather than names and pronouns any day in my view.

The obvious answer would be, what they want to be called. If they decline to answer then this type of play may not be the right type of play for them as mommy/daddy roles have an inherent traditional gender role. Speaking generally of course, everyone’s play style differs. Most important is to establish clear communication with your “parent” both for the purpose of engaging in play safely and to make all parties feel recognized and included.

Parent.  Carer.  Caregiver.  Big.  

For nicknames from their little?  Mama, Mommy, Dada, Daddy are hits for a reason.  Simple syllables.  So repeated letters from their name is always a good one.

Of these, I personally really like the sound of “Boss”, since it’s fewer syllables. Also thanks for throwing a few options out there! I’ve had the same question!

I’ve also seen the usual baby, darling, babe, honey, sweetheart, sweetie, cutie, etc.
