Hey guys, first time poster!

I’m a heavy fabricator by trade and have recently started doing a few side hustle jobs and come to the realisation, that self employment is far more enjoyable for my lifestyle atm.

So I’m looking at building BDSM beds/bedframes, high quality with the best components available as a freak does, I recently purchased a reasonably cheap one that looked great in the photos online but was rather disappointing irl.

Which leads me to my question to all you lovely people, what would you like to see in a kink style bed? Features you’d look for or the style you’d prefer, any feedback s thoroughly appreciated 🫶🏼

I also build my own bondage furniture and generally plan my work with the following things in mind.
Maintenance, cleaning - can the coatings or materials I use be easily, cleaned or disinfected with chemicals.
Repair, replacement - BDSM furniture takes heavy ***, especially mattresses. So I try to use standard items which can be repaired or replaced easily

In terms of product features,
Tie off points and what the customer is going to use, ropes, chains, straps, to make sure the fixing points are the right size
Power- a lot of toys are now battery powered but some of the best are still mains powered so easily accessible sockets are a must
Storage - somewhere to hang items, or under bed draws, or bed features that can be removed like pillorys or bars.
Discreet - some people need to hide their kinky side so can tie down points be hidden, can it be made to look more art than kink with a few subtitles changes.
Multi use- can the subject only be used vertically, can the sub be spread on a cross at the end of the bed. If the sub is bent over the bed is it at the right height and are tie off points available for that position. Can you use on the bed for storage or a cage.

In the end build to what the customers want but always try to include extra value where you can

I've often thought about a bed with a footboard hiding a pillory/stocks.

I’m not sure if this is helpful or not, but I really like the alter ego beds. They have switch out panels to turn a regular wholesome bed into a stock with restraint points.
