How often do we all get tested? If tested at all. I want a general consensus for it. So men and women should answer. I go 2-3x a year, is that excessive?

I’d say it depends entirely on how many sexual encounters you have. There’s not one right answer.

I get tested before and after I’m with someone. Before once and after twice (I get tested about two weeks after and 2-3 months after if I don’t have another encounter). I also expect the person I’m with to get tested as well and show results especially if there are multiple people involved

Once every two or three months. 3 times a year is definitely not excessive, unless you are monogamous or celibate.

no. that's the minimum if you engage in casual play.

Personally, I try to get done each month - properly, at a clinic.  This doesn't always work on an exact science.  So usually averages around 6-8 times per year.

What if he was clean up until 1 week ago but played 2 days before you?

That's a risk you take when you go raw. How much do you trust the person you're going raw with? I personally only go raw with partners that I am comfortable with and trust. FYI, most girls don't like the feel of condoms any more than men do make you guys feel like a toy.

I get tests 3 to six months after possible exposure. I also like to have updated paperwork when beginning with someone new.

I once had a bad experience with someone that stopped to celebrate their results with someone else, on the way to my home . Only for that person to expose them to something that would take 4 to 6 weeks to get over. So I just use protection until I select an individual I feel is sexually responsible. I also consider preventative treatments for extra protection.

Every six months and every new partner. It's possible some things can be missed or take time to show up on tests, so every six months is necessary. I'm pretty sure I was told this by the sexual health centre when I was getting my last tests done.

6-8 mons.. Or 3 months after there is a partner change, or a partner adds a partner.
