I was wondering who actually  names each fetish.  As we all know each fetish as an official name.

Also is there a fetish gor the shoe croccs and if so what's it called and who gave it that name.

a lot of the 'official names' come from old latin, or being named after someone.

Something like a crocc fetish wouldn't have a name due to being more specific/recent

retifism is the common name for shoe fetish -  Nicolas-Edme Rétif was a French novelist who wrote a book on it, hence where the name comes from

altocalciphilia specifically relates to high heels or heeled footware and comes from a mixture of latin and greek - philia is a common word ending which is Greek meaning 'love' or 'attraction'

The “philia” bit is Greek for ‘a deep love’ and the foreword seems to be typically Latin. For instance (in terms of my own weird kink) eructophilia would translate to ‘a deep love of burping’ or ‘burp fetish’

I’d assume other kinks follow a similar naming pattern

yep, there's a lot who are named after authors (Masochism comes from Masoch. Sadism from Marquis De Sade) and then a lot of the typical form at Latin and the start with a Greek suffix (particularly when it's philia)

I knew about the sadism 1 its rather popular

In psychology they refer to 'paraphillias' which is a catch all term for all forms of weird sex practices. Fetish has a specific definition as something that a person cannot get aroused without. Meaning, technically, most people who say they have a fetish actually don't because they're capable of arousal without it.

Its well known that there is a 25-member bipartisan international committee that names fetishes, based in Brussels.
