Feet in Different Time Periods — What Era Had the Best Aesthetic?

I'm well into my history in general, and whilst watching a progam on the Egpytians, it got me thinking, if you could live in any historical era purely based on foot fashion and aesthetics, which would you choose? Ancient barefoot cultures? Victorian lace and boots? 1920s glamour?

What makes that era stand out visually? Or is the current era the peak of feet asthetics? I'm thinking only really now do we have beautiful feet, well pedicured nails, jewelry of all sorts and darn sexy shoes. Does any era even compare to the times we live in now for the descerning foot fan?

What a great topic. I’ve always thought the ancient eras would’ve been incredible. But then I’ve never minded a dusty or dirty foot sole, or feet that have saw some use. I always thought the scene in Mummy Returns where Rachel Weisz and Patricia Velasquez fight, is a beautiful glimpse of how sexy ancient Egyptian women would’ve displayed their bare feet. And if you look at how women were revered, and how they dressed elaborately and their make up was glamorous etc., I think they would’ve had slaves look after and pamper their feet too.
So I’d likely choose ancient Egyptian cultures. Indian would be sexy too. In fact all old cultures where woman were barefoot is sexy to me.
But it’s true. In today’s age, women have once again found the power in the attraction of their feet. And it’s a beautiful time to be alive with a foot fetish, as they’re on display everywhere. But if hard pressed for an answer, take me back to the ancient times.

I totally agree, the ancient civilisations always seemed to decorate their feet with ankle bracelets etc
