Was it love or was it lust?
Was it just now or forever for us?
Too many scars from ones we trust
Made it impossible for us

Too young to see the dereliction
Of our fragile states
Instead we just went further
Diving deeper into the game

Hotels for long nights and back seats for short
Sometimes cuffed physically
But always mentally for sure
Leaving our emotions bound up at the door

Soon became impossible to trust
So many scars from too many cuts
***ing it was just for now as forever left us
All because we were too young to know if it was love or lust.
