I am new ish to non vanilla sex/relationship.  I'm finding with my current lover that I think deep throat is giving me a mega sore throat, ear ache etc and my throat glands are up.  Is this a thing?  Am I doing something wrong?  or is it just a coincident?

Like with any new slightly more intense experience in sex/kink you need to listen to your body and take it at a pace that works and isn't damaging to you, oral sex specifically fellatio can cause bruising on your soft palate and sometimes even small tears these heal very quickly but obviously will be more pronounced with more intense action like deep throating, so if you are having adverse effects you may need to slow down a bit whilst your body gets used to this mew action.

Like anything else you try that’s new you have to train for it. Let your partner know if the difficulties you’re having with the act and see if they are willing to go slowly with training and expectations.
