Cry for release

OK, so my question is or if anyone has thoughts or feelings, they want to share, how do you feel about your partner, crying or wanting to cry while in a scene or even in a more intimate situation.

I find more and more that when I am very in the moment (even by myself) and I have very intense org*sms I cry. Like it’s cathartic. Almost like somatic release. And it leaves me feeling very empty but in a good way.

Is this a turn off or turn on for some partners? Totally interested in both side’s opinions. ☺️

When my wife was sad and crying me comforting her always me me hard but I always felt bad I knew she was upset but her crying really turned me on

How beautiful for you that you observed and get to gain even a little more to your orgasm than others. What a great connection to your inner soul

If ones partner understands why the other is crying, I find it hard to imagine anyone worth their salt in this community would have a problem with it. If there's no warning to this and they experience it for the first time. That would be confusing.

I sometimes cry after intense sessions. Not like bawling my eyes out but there are definitely tears🥲 I think it’s just an emotional release that is triggered by a physical release. That’s when you know it was good.

Yes — crying during or after BDSM play is completely normal, common, and nothing to be ashamed of. It’s often just the body and mind releasing intense emotion, adrenaline, or endorphins — a natural part of processing deep trust, vulnerability, pleasure, or the comedown from subspace. Tears aren’t automatically a sign something went wrong; they can be tears of relief, gratitude, release, or simply your nervous system recalibrating. That said, if the crying comes with ***, shame, or a sense that your boundaries were crossed, that matters too — so check in with yourself and your partner, offer gentle comfort and aftercare, and remember: what matters most is that you feel safe, heard, and respected.

It's important to know who you're with so you understand them. I've had women cry from joy and release. Knowing the emotions it would make me feel as if you've been well taken care of which would bring me joy as well. Aftercare is a very important aspect. Your mental, emotional and physical needs are key.

I had a Dom tell me via chat that the scene isn’t over until the sub cries. 🤷‍♀️

As long as im expecting it. Whatever you need. It was creepy as *uck once when a lady started and wanted me to carry on. Id say its sufficiently outside normal to need prior warning

I think he was referring to the release

That’s an excellent question & I’m glad you asked. It’s something that I’ve dealt with also, and I’m curios to read the comments.

I have had such intense orgasms that I cry. Only has happened on a few occasions, but you are not alone🫶

Looking at your profile, you need a Dom that has mentored several other submissives that are in need of someone to help them realize what they like, what they don’t like and most everything in between. Someone they’re comfortable with and can trust so they can begin to understand a lot more about themselves and this lifestyle. Please check out my profile. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter if you choose me or another mentor as long as they check all the boxes. Best of luck to you.!

Totally normal. I've cried after very intense orgasms. It's an emotional release. If someone is turned off by it, they aren't your person.

Ladies,
I find this especially interesting as I have been involved in this lifestyle since 2013 and have had several submissive women in my life since then and this thread is the first I’m hearing of this. I’m not here questioning this. Just trying to understand a bit more.

Recently I keep hearing it’s an emotional release. And it leaves me wondering what type of emotions are you purging? Is it helping you release negative emotions from prior experiences? And if not, what do you think might be the common denominator between you ladies?

I believe in always evolving and learning and this ***ked my curiosity.

I look forward to any positive feedback.

I think "turn on" is typically used in a sexual context. However, the state you're describing for me would be a compliment for the emotional context. Me being a safe space for you to let go and release, showing your sensitive and *** self.

That to me is not a turn on, but an indication that there's trust and (emotional) support and love. And that to me is more beautiful and wholesome than a turn on. 🙏
