IN**** Posted 2 hours ago I don’t pay much attention to new sets anymore. I play mainly commander now after years of 60 card and the release schedule has burned me out. I don’t feel excited for new sets really anymore. Some of the new cards look really Cool though.

Pl**** Posted 2 hours ago I liked some of the sets they release the return to lorwyn is the one o enjoyed most out of the most recent sets but that was the first set o started playing Friday night magic and local standard tournaments back in the day

The power level has increased like hell. I recently got myself two of the final fantasy Commander decks. Wow 15 years of collecting, trading and optimizing are simply overpowered by one a pre-build commander deck. Okay, I haven’t tested my sliver deck against them yet, but they look soooo powerful.

Maybe it's because I don't play competitively and mainly with friends that I haven't experienced that but I can see how some of these cards are just bullshit

Back in the days it was tough to figure good deck ideas. Before Commander got found, we were playing a format called highlander, a deck of 100 cards and except basic lands every card could be played only once in a deck. In return cards from all editions are legal. Took me more than five years to be anywhere to competing with my friends who have played way longer.

Ive been playing for about 3 months, for me it was easier to get into it because I used to play yugioh so I understood the basic idea of synergy and all that Good stuff, as for competing with people who have been playing for years I can say I dont do that well against since they have competitive decks and im a very casual player but against other casuals I do well

But for people like us who had a big collection before already that lost a lot of worth because there are so many new, very powerful cards, it’s a pity and I know so many people who sold their collections in the last couple of years.

Ah I see, im gonna mainly play with friends and for fun, a booster pack here and there, and at the end of the day it's a game so if im not having fun im not gonna break the bank to try to have fun
