BDSM Beginner Advice

Hello! My name is Eilidh. My partner and I are interested in learning more about BDSM and how to incorporate it into our relationship, more for sexual purposes rather than a 24/7 thing for now. We've already tried a lot of new things together and this is something we have both always been interested in and we feel we're ready to try it! I'm already more of the sub in our relationship, so I want to further develop that while he further develops his dom position. Would love any advice on how to get started! Books, videos, suggestions, terminology, recommended toys, etc. I would love to hear from experiences doms and subs. What do you look for in each role? How did you first start out? My partner and I have been together for a couple of years now. Is it different to start after being with someone for so long? Or more recommended? What are your favorite things to do in a dom/sub relationship? Let me know your opinions! I know next to nothing, so over-explaining isn't possible! The more the better!
