Well my practice is to discuss what CNC, free use, sexual objectification is with the sub.  It's obviously fantastic if it's a situation where as a Master/Dom, you know the sub/slave well enough to push limits without verbalisation. That has worked for me most of the time, but unfortunately, there is always a chance the slave/sub has suppressed trauma, which can be triggered with such activity.  Worse is when they haven't processed past *** trauma.  It happened to me with a sub, who I was training for weeks, and pre-interviewed,  We'd agreed about going without protection when I deemed it was time.  I didn't know she was violated in a class demo of tantric, where the instructor entered her without a condom without permission or warning.  She didn't react at all, and it sat with her.  Having been blindfolded with me, and me whispering that my condom was coming off, triggered her.  I couldn't see her eyes but felt her body freeze.    It took a week of talking before I touched her again.

there's been a couple of posts on free use recently, and there's been a couple where I've been a bit... "well, technically - that's not 'free use'" - and like pretty much every do and don't is in there...  what do you mean by free use? what do they mean by free use? what do you both expect here? Make sure you are both on the same page.

 

Equally, of course, if you do go via a basis of one person always has to agree... do you really want to proceed if you genuinely believe they're not up for it?
