Abbie had had to wear a back brace as a child.  It was a rare condition where her spine had been slow to harden; her back had grown misshapen in er first few months outside the womb.

It was caught in time to prevent too much harm, but she had to lie still in her earlier years.  The bones started to harden properly when she was about four years old and it was realized that if there was any hope in straightening her back they would have to start before it hardened too much.

The other *** teased her mercilessly.  Crookback.  Sloucher.  Turtle.  She was different.  She was unable to participate in most physical activities.  She was the perpetual outsider, taking refuge in books because that was the only way she could have fun.

By her pre-*** tears the bones had hardened as normal, but her back still wasn’t quite straight.  Adjustments to the brace over time could eventually *** her back into alignment, but it would be a slow and ***ful process.  Her braces had been getting gradually smaller, but now a more bulky model would be needed.  Fodder for more names.  More teasing.

She was in her early twenties before she was finally free.  Or so she thought.

She was unused to the freedom of movement.  It felt awkward.  There was also a nagging *** that her back might get out of alignment again.  She would still from time to time wear a back brace at night just to reassure herself.

It was an old movie that got her thinking about corsets.  She had heard of them when younger, of course, but they were just some out-of-date fashion.  With her back braces, corsets were never something she could take seriously.  Watching the actress lace herself up, Abbie began to think about what they would be like.  Not as rigid as a brace but still a reminder to keep standing straight.  It might be a familiar feel while being more comfortable.

It didn’t take much to hide a corset under her clothes.  Professional attire could still be fashionable and not reveal what was underneath.  Proper posture made her feel more confident which eventually made others see her as more confident.  Her earlier studies helped, but she wondered how much the corsets helped her advance in her career.

Miss Jade had noticed her improved confidence as well.  The older woman who shopped at the same boutique where Abbie bought her corsets.  She had started a conversation one day and shortly after had invited Abbie to have lunch.  Over the course of their friendship, Miss Jade told her of her business, told her how much men would pay confident women, mentioned that she was looking to train a partner.

Abbie laced the last two eyelets behind her.  She took a deeper breath and pulled extra tight, knowing that it would loosen slightly when she tied it in place.  It was on the outside now, red to contrast with the black leather body suit she wore.  Just in time, she saw a car pull into the lot on the closed-circuit monitor.  She watched as Tim Reynolds got out and rang the bell.  She waited a few seconds before activating the intercom.

“Enter and kneel.”

She buzzed him in and started downstairs from the office.  This was just a weekend job for now, but she was seriously considering starting full-time.  From student to assistant, Miss Jade was now allowing her to hire the dungeon space for herself.  A partnership had never been mentioned; perhaps Miss Jade didn’t like the idea that she was training a replacement, but it seemed to be the way things were going.

Tim had been a top jock in high school.  He had been one of her lead ***ors but had almost never looked her in the face so didn’t recognize her.  He only knew her as Mistress Raven now, not as Crooked Abbie.

“Posture,” she snapped when she saw him kneeling just inside the entranceway.  She smacked her riding crop on the palm of her hands for emphasis, and he straightened up.  Then she added, because she couldn’t resist, “Don’t be a SLOUCHER.” She watched to see if the word would trigger any memory in him, but it didn’t seem to.

They went through the usual greetings and niceties. As they discussed his desires for today’s session she wondered if he would be at the ten-year reunion that was coming up.  What would his reaction be to see Mistress Raven there? And what when he found out her true identity? Of course, he wouldn’t be able to tell anyone about her dual persona without someone finding out about his weekly lessons on how a well-behaved young lady acts and the punishments that came with poor performance.

“Very well,” she said when she was sure they understood each other’s desires.  “An outfit is waiting in the classroom.  You’ve got five minutes to get ready.”

He stood and started for one of the back rooms where a schoolgirl uniform was waiting for him.  It would be a rush to get it on in five minutes without it being wrinkled.  There was definitely no time for the wig and makeup.  He would be punished for that.  “POSTURE!” she snapped, slapping the palm of her hand again.  He straightened up as he hurried on.  Yes, he could earn a lot of punishment today on posture alone.
