The new aspects are interesting, I like that the hunt has been freshened up!

 

Could we please get some clarification as to how the mechanics for bonus points awarded for VIP/Premium members work in the context of gifted icons? For example, it appears that if an icon is gifted whilst a member is upgraded then they "lose" double points; this is a sensible step as it prevents farming/ab*se of the system.

 

But what if a member is not upgraded, collects a number of 30-point icons, upgrades their membership, then gifts them away - I'm aware the icons can potentially be found again but in the interim does this mean they actually have a points deficit? Or does the system remember and only deduct 30 points for those gifted icons?

 

Similarly if a member collects a number of icons for 60 points each and then downgrades to regular membership while the Hunt is still running, does gifting an icon they collected previous to that deduct 30 points (which would allow somebody to in theory have zero icons yet still have earned a bunch of points from the hunt), or 60?

Kinda off topic but is there a way I can disable these VIP hint notifications. It kinda ruins the fun for me. 😅

I suspect the answer to that is no; however, they appear in notifications on Day 2 and Day 7 so, don't look there would be the temp advice.

Yes, go to the place you found it, you can get it again.  The site gives them away randomly, so best to keep a map of where you found them.
