thefootslut Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM I'm pretty into being kind to out environment, and try and be as eco-friendly as possible in everyday life. But one aspect of my life that I've never thought about in terms of the environment is the kink side of things! So, was wondering if anyone had any ideas on biodegradable or natural-fiber rope (hemp, jute, bamboo)? Or what are your favorite impact toys or restraints made from reclaimed, recycled, or upcycled materials? What other things can be done in the scene to help minimise the impact on our environment?
Li**** Posted 8 hours ago i love this. sustainability can be considered in any aspect of our life, and kink is a great one to consider. i personally love bamboo rope, but hemp is also very sustainable 🥰
Jo**** Posted 8 hours ago I use a fair bit of upcycled materials and found objects for impact toys i make; although its not the most eco friendly, i use leather because theres just nothing else that has the properties of leather and is better for the environment, but i gear towards leather thats been through more eco friendly tanning process and make my pieces so they are pieces that wont ever need replacing. I also have done a lot of buying “scrap” leather from various sources to use, then i also save and reuse as much of my own scrap as i can. I also upcycle my packing material for shipping my pieces and use my hoard of plastic shopping bags for the job.
ey**** Posted 5 hours ago a lot of communities have occasional 'toy swap' and 'bring and buy' sales - of course this pay involve being happy to give/take something used on someone else. But can move a "no longer used" toy, to a "used toy" a lot of single use items are always worth looking at eco solutions - gloves, lube, condoms, etc.
