bad experience creating events

Recommended Posts

I organize a monthly event in Tokyo. I tried posting it on fetish.com. I have given up.

I already had a terrible conversation with your support staff last month.

I just found this forum and decided to post here in the hope that someone is listening. Don't ask me for more information. All the information you need is already in your system.

I created a repeating event.

The times were immediately messed up. The first one was correct at 2pm. The rest show up as 3pm for a while and then then ones in spring are back to 2pm. I guess something is applying German daylight savings time. Japan doesn't have DST, so a bunch of the events are wrong.

I talked to your support people. They tried to tell me it was probably some wrong with my browser and to clear cookies etc. Waste of time. The "main" recurring event (10359) says 2pm but then some events that come after say 3pm. It's very clearly not my cookies.

When I finally convinced them that it was a bug, they asked me to go report it somewhere else. Don't ask your customers to go file all the same information into some other system!

My solution was to just write a note in the event description warning people that the times were wrong.

Last week, I had to change the venue. I changed it and saved it but I found out yesterday that it did not update. At least one person went to the wrong venue. Maybe others did too but didn't contact me.

This is awful.

So I've deleted the upcoming events. I've left the main event there so that you can debug it. I will close it soon because I just don't want to bother with events here and the support staff (if they are human and not AI) don't seem to want to fix the bugs.

Thank you for raising this here – and we’re really sorry to hear about your experience.

You're absolutely right: If time zones or recurring events are handled incorrectly, and changes to venues don’t save reliably, that’s more than a minor issue – it impacts real people and real events.

We're also sorry that your previous interaction with support left you feeling unheard. It’s frustrating to repeat information or be sent in circles, especially when you’re volunteering your time to report bugs that affect others, too.

Your report is detailed and very helpful – and we’ll make sure it gets passed on to the product and tech teams properly. If there are any follow-up questions or fixes, we’ll update you here (even if the topic is closed, we can still comment).

Thank you again for taking the time to share this so clearly – and for giving the platform a try in the first place. Whatever you decide, we appreciate the effort you’ve put in.

Greetings
Carmen, FET Team
