So I joined this app a few months ago and I've seen a lot of people in the lifestyle that have great terminologies and experiences that align with things I've done in the past as well. However I never thought of myself as someone that's in the lifestyle it's something that I was just doing in being a proper Dominant Daddy figure. So when people ask me like terminology is it weird that I don't know that stuff?

I sorta feel the same way lol. Googling shit just to find out i already knew it hah.

Is it weird that you don't know? engage in the use of? subscribe to? certain terminology?
*No.
Is it a possible barrier? lazy? caution for some to get involved with [you]?
*Yes.
Is it mandatory for everyone? to know every term?
*No, of course not.

it is also kinda important that when you do see terminology that you understand it compared to what you are/were doing or would/will do and not try to shoe horn

if you didn't consider yourself to be in the lifestyle - you probably weren't.   But that doesn't mean some things aren't transferable

If you have good communication skills and have strong practices around informed/enthusiastic consent, which I get the feeling you do, I don't think it matters too much if you don't know the common terminology... but like someone else said, people into the same stuff might not find you...
