Expensive Hobbies

Being a musician. You are always wanting more guitars amps pedals gear to put on stage during a show. You can get cheap guitars but then to get good tone you are always putting new pickups and gear to make it better.

I second the musician thing... good gaaaawd drums and gear are expensive as hell, but... omfg, what a fantastic hobby and a lifetime of learning and fun to be had. A punching bag is a close 2nd to a drum kit for me. Keyboards, guitars, basses, even harmonica all add up quickly. Smash On !!! 🤙

You also need new guitar strings and then you see anothet guitar you want.

German shepherds to be specific so mine are very expensive health tested and make sure that everything coincides with what the breed should be. Sound temperament. Healthy no hip dysplasia no elbow dysplasia no degenerative myopathy. And we do heart testing and visual testing. So it is expensive

Offroading: $60k Jeep + $25k in upgrades. Then last year, another $10k to take 3 weeks off work to drive out from PA to UT for a Jeep event (registration, hotel, food, souvenirs, Gass, tolls, a weekend in Vegas, etc)

I play airsoft and I design/print 3d stuff. Both of them are expensive. My last printer (have two and had three at some point) costed me £800+. And in airsoft, the normal price to have decent equipment is like £300/400 plus paying to play in game sites that from £35/55 (per Sunday).

I am an apiarist, in recent years, the price of anything to do with apiculture has sky rocketed which is ok for the raw honey farmers selling their bee juice, but just hampers bee spamming conservation projects.

I play roller derby, roller skates are expensive, paying league dues, traveling and not to mention hospital bills 😅🤣
