After you have read a book what do you do with them.

I keep 90% of them. I was told its a waste of space to keep a book 1s you read it

Do whatever you want with them. They are your books. Screw everyone.

I keep them because I have long dreamt of having an in-home library if I ever own a house

I give mine to the free little library that I have near my house

We have a library. Created as you imagine yours ! We implore you to follow your dream .. but keep a top shelf full of favourites… ours is the story of O 😈

I donate books to charity shops. 1s i know i want ever read again. Of books iv had given me thst are not my thing

Iv had to make myself only buy 3 new books a month

Return them to the library from which I borrowed them + put them on my shelves + gift them to folks as the opportunities arise + donate or garage sell them + very rarely, usually if damaged, craft them.

I usually keep them - but then a lot of my books are parts of sets/collections and I oft feel I may want to re-read the rest anyway

I tend to not reread so I get all of my books through my library. They will just go into the trash when I die. Used to own a lot but have moved so much that it just makes sense to have less. Donated a lot to libraries as well.

The ones I feel I’ll re-read, I keep. Same with books that have some kind of sentimental value for me. Any others I either pass to friends/family, or donate to National Trust/charity shops.

Yes i have book sets that i re read

People message me books I should try please.

I need to widen my book type

I tend to keep them because I like making tabs, annotations, and highlights of often great passages in the books to remember

I have a fiction and non fiction library, my books give me great comfort and I love having them around me…
the non fiction are useful reference books mostly and are in a variety of subjects, and the fiction section is mostly sci-fi or fantasy, and are mainly books I really enjoy and will read again…and I’ve just ***ted a new shelf so I can get some more books yay 😊

I agree . Books are my way to escape. Although all mine are fiction.

Wow never knew that

I read and I keep the ones I enjoy. I do reread old books like other people will watch a comfort show or movie. About once a year I’ll go through my bookshelves and donate some though.

Do you ever highlight or do notes in yours? I see people do it, especially if they are reading for a book club, but I can’t seem to do so myself. 🫣
