Everything is Temporary (Poem)

Everything is temporary,
Sooner the better that’s learned,
Feelings real or imaginary,
In the end we all get burned;
From the sharp sting of ***,
To the tender caress after,
From the dark clouds and rain,
To the ecstasy, euphoria and laughter;
Everything is temporary,
Nothing we experience lasts,
Everything becomes a memory,
Even that too comes to pass;
So live now and live free,
Journey down the rabbit hole,
Open up and let people see,
Your true energy, spirt and soul;
Because we only get one chance,
One life is all we get,
We only ever get this one dance,
And at the end, you don’t want regrets;
Because everything is temporary.

I’m quite sure it doesn’t need pointing out, but the blocked out word is p@1n - I must try to remember to write it this way when I do the original writing 🤷🏻‍♂️.

& This is crazy that the word p@1n is censored on kink loving dating app...

Censorship blows. I swear this world has become so damn hyper sensitive anymore, almost to a point of weakness., it’s pitiful really

I mean, I can certainly understand and see the logic in censoring certain words. In fact, the people who run the app are likely following some sort of protocol set by a governing body who controls that sort of thing. And the creators of the app would probably have no issue with any word being written. Especially in pieces of writing, as it’s a form of artistic expression and that shouldn’t be censored in my eyes.
But hey… it is what it is. My own frustration here is that I knew damn well they would censor it and I usually do try to write a crafty replacement to get around the censorship. But because I hadn’t posted a poem in a while I forgot 😂🤷🏻‍♂️. I could delete and do it again, but who’s got time for that. I think the audience get the intent.

Maybe this forum post can be some sort of unofficial petition to the mods, to try to change the rules so we can use which ever words we wish in artistic expression on the forum boards.
