Hi everyone, this is My first forum post. I apologize if I graze any guidelines. I'm relatively new to this app but have been in the scene since the early 2000's with a 15 year break until very recently and am realizing how different the energy is when connecting online now vs back before paywalls existed.

I think the website I was on was called MyDommeSpace, I can't remember exactly, but the community was very diverse and I found the connections more authentic than what I'm encountering today, thankfully there have been a handful of good toys that have made it worth staying here.

I'm curious if any older Dommes, or subs to older Dommes have noticed this shift. I'm curious to know your thoughts and hear your experiences on the changing ways.

I don't think it is the pay walls that really changed it so much as the pure amount of disingenuous people and scammers out there these days. Technology today has made it to easy to prey on others leading to people holding back or beong afraid to share too much these days.

Hey, wanted to respond to you because this is really interesting to me.

I have a long story of my activity on here but what I can tell you in short is that yes, the paywalls are everywhere, but there are still interesting people to be found, I just takes a little bit of time to learn how to navigate all the crappy ui, ads and people/bots that just want ***. I’ve been exploring for about 3 years and I’ve found some cool communities. Happy to share more if you’re interested.

I found the worse the website, the better the users! Like Collarme, back in the day was total trash but you didn't have the same level of scammers and horny "dom" men with their insane fantasies (that they happily say out loud, god help us). similarly InformedConsent was practically a text only forum, and that was great.

I think the rise of dating apps (particularly apps as they are so easily accessible to the bored random user) has created a larger pool, of less quality. Meaning you have a harder time finding interesting (ie sane) people.

When I see someone with a name and a bunch of numbers I know it’s a bot or a scammer. The amount of people that are like hey let’s talk offline like honestly come on.

As an older dom I’m finding these and all sites have been overtaken with non serious intentions. More of a photo shoot and just talk with not a lot of follow thru hard to find a serious true submissive thru the games and scamming

Yes very long. I was in my early 20's when I started then fell into social expectations and started dating more and more vanilla till I got married to what I thought was a vanilla but is now My hubby subby ass worshiping baby and Mama is very happy again.

The amount of unserious people is actually incredibly shocking, especially on an app like this. I'm excited to have found a select few that can handle things seriously.

Yes it's a massive pool of floaters and some actual fishes swimming thru the shit. Come to Mama 😭 The chatrooms are actually garbage, too. They tried shaming Me! They need to go to the mall or something.

You're not wrong. Even FL has changed. I doesn't feel like people want to meet or share experiences. They either want to direct to content on other platforms or try to get someone to go to a social.

Omg the Ai bots are getting more realistic and flooding everywhere. Every app has them even on Xbox now. Things are getting out of hand with these cam bots

The only thing I'll add here is watch what you say. A lot of the people on here have some of the most tender feelings around and will report you for complete bullship. I used to report scammer profiles and participate in conversations but I'm done. The number of profiles on here that are scam profiles is 9 out of 10. This place can go to hell in a hand basket and I'm just going to sit back and watch it burn. The mods on here are the worst. Support follow up is pathetic. The whole place is a dumpster fire. Extremely low expectations is all you should have when interacting with anyone here.
