Domming/Subbing while aging

I've seen a lot of different iterations - and a lot comes with the commercialisation of the internet as well as anything else.

So, for example - I was initially on a lot of sites around 2000-2002 - had a break, returned 2013, and can compare 2013 to 2026 also

Anyway. Yeah, early 2000s - you'd get talking to someone on a site, and they'd offer to share pics or chat on cam and suddenly there was a site asking for card details "you don't have to pay, just verify your age with card" but even then I was somewhat savvy enough to know this failed the sniff test.

Some of the online communities that existed were kinda small, but as they grew of course there was always the problem largely of guys who felt kink=easy women.   There was also of course the issue that websites cost *** to run, so there had to be some means of making revenue and when people are contributing cash they often expect something back

The other thing of course, is I saw how the in person kink communities grew and changed, and is somewhat more accessible.  So that contributed to an online shift since many could get what they wanted by partaking in community.

Mind, the thing with shifts of course is they're always a reaction and product of time.  I don't subscribe to the whole "things were better then" thing, even if some elements seemed better.  They are just different

Yes different is the perfect wording, thank you! I'm still figuring out what my boundaries and limits are, I mean I have been monogamous for 15 years. I feel like it's going to take time for me to physically open up and it's easier for me to just post photos but finding the right people who want more than just to come.. or try to trick Me into thinking they're submissive when really their kink is Me thinking I owned them while they manipulate Me into attachment which won't happen. I worry about this translating in person when we eventually start looking for real connections. We're still establishing a baseline ourselves, I guess its just a matter of the right people at the right place and time. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sadly the complications of our diverse “ kink” needs adds a level of complexity to an already difficult process. Wish ya’ll the best of luck.

It's like dating all over again 😂

It's just learning how to communicate your needs I think. It is like dating all over again but it can be waaay more streamlined, if you allow it. Don't settle for any less that 100% of what you need. Good luck hun 💚💚

There were more free flowing conversations. I do feel like $ funds were still a priority but because there weren't any super fast ways to send it back then, it ***d the conversations to go longer.

What do you mean you still feel $ funds were still available.

Online funds weren't as fluid then as they are now. It ***d prolonged contact which isn't the case now.

there were always fakes, but it was.... different

The main one would of course be someone trying to share pics or cam with you, but you had to sign up for another site with credit card deets, even if the other person would claim it was only for verification. The first time I got one of these messages, I was unsure if it was legit or not - the second time it was the same pattern so I knew it wasn't.   Some of the scams were less lucrative cos like it HAD to be a credit card; paypal was still in it's infancy, a lot of the sites couldn't take debit cards, the way gift cards work was different, so on

Another issue was just data mining in general, that they weren't going so much for a cash scam, but getting as much personal info from you - so that then you'd get more... personalised... emails which of course did lead to other adult sites of different degrees of legitimacy

Umm.... catfishing was a huge problem, which was often through guys posing as women either to lead people on, or sometimes to effectively mine and then jerk off the whole "what could we do" - this is less common these days, but of course guys often will just pose a question in a forum to get answers to jerk to.

And of course a lot of traditional dating scams have barely changed over the last 20 odd years. These are the ones which are typically more of a long con.   And for a period these were kinda.... less prevalent as folk might try to chat or video call (but not always!) but now with a lot of AI that's easier to fake.

One main difference over the past couple of decades is of course there might be more potential for fakes, but there's also more "real" people, but because of that there's also more choices on who to speak to rather than just chatting with someone cos they're there.
