This is a matter of personal preference. I prefer to give spankings bare-handed, on bare buttocks. No “outfit” required. As far as soap in the mouth: I don’t use it, but make sure what you use is non-toxic and use it in small amounts.

"Perfect" is subjective.   A lot depends on what your own preference is here, any fantasies, any limits.  Likewise that of the person giving discipline to you.

Like, I'm aware of stories where subs have come up with all these ideas and fantasies their Dominant/partner was not happy to give - so it depends here of course where the opportunities come from.

 

I used to be a House Dominant at an Adult School Role Play event - the vibe was very lighthearted, but some of the punishments were not.   There were a lot of notes in our text books about each persons likes, limits, etc. One person really liked to be falsly accused and punished for things they hadn't done. Someone else was more timid. People are different.   Mouth Soaping was a common punishment for backchat.  We would have them stand with the tar soap between their teeth and when it was time to remove it, we wouldn't have them open their mouth, just pull gently, so their teeth would shave bits of the soap into their mouth.

But a lot of that type of discipline also doesn't have to be spanking (hand, slipper, cane, flogger, paddle, ruler, tawse, etc) line writing, corner time, pointless essays, etc all fit the vibe.

I did once do a variation on the penny punishment on someone.  It is stood against the wall and they have to keep a penny pressed against the wall with a finger on each hand, arms out stretched, which makes for a stress position.   Simple but quite ***ful.

However, with all and any suggestions. It is still all about what you like, what you can take, your limits - and those of the Dominants.
