How/where did you learn life skills?

No leaky faucets in 44 years is very impressive. And what if I want to believe in magic? 🤪

mind, whilst know leaky faucets. I have dealt with two leaky boilers.

One being emersion/electric I could have fixed it, but felt it was too high risk.  The other being gas I couldn't legally tinker with. (Wouldn't have known what I was doing anyway)

Just do it, its not complicated. Fitted a bathroom and kitchen with "that looks alright".

Are you okay?

I feel good today. Don’t worry about my mental health and go worry about that sink.

YouTube has saved me more times the I care to admit. It's perfect for finding the way to fix small things on cars and around the house

I learned through life knocking me on my ass and doing shit different until I got it right lol

Life's about making mistakes and learning from it y'know? If you're over critical of yourself and fall into a pit of depression instead of taking the lesson and moving forward you're not actually progressing and you're your own obstacle at that point. We all go through shit. Some are worse than others. But the only ones who are happy in life are those who chose to be happy with all the small things vs letting the crushing weight of life fall on them. Living is experiencing and feeling all of life's emotions. Even the most burned victims can live a full happy life.

I learned life skills by being on my own and no one else being around to do them.
All before YouTube as well.
I'm still learning life skills whenever something comes up I've not done before.
I don't recall my parents showing me anything. It's all been trial and error. I'm a passable cook too.
