The big problem is sexual disease. Most people don’t get tested for herpes and I would say just about 100% of the people on this website have herpes.

The other issue is them being honest with you and providing a up-to-date STD test before any sexual playtime comes into play .

Believe me, my wife and I want to fuck around with people, but it always seems to be an issue when it comes time to get tested. The both of us have herpes it’s not that big of a deal but we definitely don’t want anything else and we tell people this upfront.

While it's true that herpes (or HSV) is very common, 100% is a little wide of the mark, even allowing for those who are regularly sexually active with multiple partners - in the US it's around 50% for HSV1 and 12% for HSV2.
.
As for the provision of up to date STI test results - as I said further up, they're pretty much meaningless other than to prove the person was negative at the time of the test - it doesn't absolutely mean they are negative at the time of having sex with you though - if that person was tested within a window period for an STI or has had sex since testing then a negative test result is virtually worthless.

because you can't test for it without symptoms.

not even just that.  If someone is regularly active - then a test won't show anything still in the incubation period.     i.e. you could catch something 5 days before you test. Test. And get negative results.

Generally - again - speaking in porn while some people have different requirements - a common one is to be asked not for one negative test, but three consecutive negative tests done monthly - which still doesn't guarantee anything but also shows you are doing good practice.

Exactly, that's what I meant by "getting tested within the window period for an STI" - which for anyone interested in the main ones the window periods are:

.

Chlamydia/Gonorrhea - 2 weeks

HIV - 7-12 weeks (depending which agency you believe)

Syphilis/Hep B and C - 12 weeks

This is a very real problem. It is not possible to be 100% safe unless you just say no. But that doesn’t really work. If BB is the only way to fly for you, you have to tell your partners this.

What are the symptoms of each? And what to look for

Though it's a UK site I thoroughly recommend Googling SH:24 which has some excellent pages detailing each of the STIs, their symptoms, window periods etc

Just to add some weight to gemini_man’s’ comment, SH:24 is an excellent site if you are looking for information. Their testing kits arrive very quickly, and results are texted through to your phone, so there is a high degree of discretion with their service. The tests are super easy to perform, and the instructions are very easy to follow. I use the site for all my testing.. Recommended

Should caveat that with the testing aspect is UK only and even then dependent on location within the UK, but beyond that echo all you say - they also now have an individual password protected page for all users that stores historical results.
.
If you're not in the UK, or outside of their testing areas within the UK, it's still an excellent resource for information though.
