Why would you think that? There are many reasons women might be guarded about it, including wariness that the "couple" are actually a couple, ***ing they'd just be seen as being there for the couple and not all present and more besides.

Like inviting someone to have a 3some by an already established couple. The 3rd is not expected to have the same consideration as the couple gives each other. In my opinion looking for a 3rd to be in your relationship is going to start out much the same way. I don't think anyone new coming into the relationship is going to have the same consideration right off the bat.
