Safety and Inclusivity Guidelines Explained!
Welcome to FET, where our common goal is to create a safe, sane, and consensual space for exploring fetish and BDSM lifestyles. We’re here to help you navigate these experiences with confidence and respect. Let’s dive into how we keep things safe and fun for everyone.
Navigating FET safely and respectfully
We’ve got some great tools to help you find the right connections. Maybe you've only heard of a few of them - or maybe you're a newbie kinkster who's just starting to get the hang of things. Let's take a closer look:
Message filters
You can filter messages by gender, age, location, and more, so you only see what’s relevant to you. This makes it easier to connect with people who share your interests and preferences.
On FET, simply go to your inbox, then tap the the three lines forming a filter in the top right corner. Under 'Who can write me?', you can find the message filter and adjust the settings to your liking.

Use the message filter to have control over who writes you!
Blur feature
We also blur unsolicited adult content because, honestly, no one likes getting unexpected explicit messages. If that’s your habit, it’s time to rethink it. Respect and consent are key here. If you wish to see the blurred out content, simply tap on the image to reveal it in all it's glory!

We've ended unsolicited pics!
Reporting & blocking
If someone makes you uncomfortable or acts inappropriately, don’t hesitate to report them. Our reporting and blocking features are there to keep things safe. Use them whenever you need to. Go to the profile of someone who made you feel uncomfortable, tap the three dots in the upper right corner and select whether to report/flag this user, report their content, block the user or block/remove their content.

Block or report another kinkster if they make you uncomfortable.
Profile verification
Verification is super important. Verified profiles, marked by a green check, help ensure you’re interacting with real people and build trust in our community. If you haven’t verified your profile yet, it’s a good idea to do so, and it's free! Verify yourself by tapping on 'Me', then 'Complete your profile' and 'Get verified!'. Follow the instructions and soon, you're part of our trusted, authentic community.
Video calls and audio messages
Both video calls and audio messages are also handy tools. Before meeting someone in person, use these to get a feel for who they are and see if you vibe. It’s a great way to ensure you’re comfortable and safe. You can find both features when selecting a conversation and tapping either on the microphone for voice notes or the camera in the top right corner for video calls. Have fun babbling!

Safety IRL
Not only do we want to train you to be safe on our platform but moreover, we are advocating for real meet-ups to happen outside of the digital world. Meeting someone new can be exciting but also a bit nerve-wracking. Here are some tips on what to consider when going on a date with someone you met online.
- Ask them to verify their profile if they haven’t already.
- Set up a video call or exchange audio messages first to get to know them better.
- Pick a public place for your first meet-up.
- Tell a friend who you’re meeting, where, and when, and share your location with them.
- Avoid private areas like cars or houses on the first meet.
- If you feel uncomfortable at any point, it’s totally okay to end the date.
- Keep your substance intake in check to stay in control.
Negotiation and consent
In our vibrant BDSM world, consent is of outmost importance. Before diving into any activities, have a chat about boundaries, preferences, and limits. Make sure everyone is on the same page. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without any hard feelings.
- Establish a safe word to stop the scene if needed.
- Check that all equipment is in good condition.
- Avoid substances that impair your judgment.
- Plan for aftercare to take care of each other emotionally and physically after the scene.
- Have an emergency plan, including how to get medical help if necessary.
When you’re exploring new kinks, take it slow. Make sure it feels right for you. Respect privacy and confidentiality, especially when it comes to sensitive personal information or activities.
Together, we can make FET a safer, saner, and more consensual space.
Don’t rush into sharing personal details like your home address or financial information. Be wary of anyone asking for ***, gifts, or financial help – they might not have the best intentions.
Avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing sensitive info with profiles you don’t fully trust. These precautions can save you a lot of trouble.

Inclusivity and respect
We’re all about inclusivity and respect at FET. Treat everyone with kindness, no matter their background or lifestyle. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying? Not cool and won’t be tolerated.
Respect people’s boundaries and personal preferences. If someone asks you to stop a behavior or conversation, respect their wishes. We embrace diversity, and we hope you do too.
If you disagree with someone, that’s fine – just keep it respectful. Avoid derogatory language or insults. Listen with curiosity and an open mind. We’re all here to learn and grow together.
The final FET: Safety and inclusivity
