And this is the perfect way to mingle with like-minded kinksters and forge meaningful connections with a welcoming leather community. Check out the website for the next scheduled markets, classes, and courses. The alliance has a long and respected history. It began back in 1991 in Boston. The early 1990s was a particularly challenging period for leather fetishists, with significant police harassment. The organisation was formed in response to a police raid on a private home used as a dungeon. The community banded together and began to put mechanisms in place to protect themselves and build awareness. There were soon regular Saturday meetings, and the group has since built a formidable reputation. The best way to get involved is by attending the monthly board meetings. These are open to all. Here you can contribute to the leadership and direction of New England Leather Alliance. People are invited to help out with everything from artistic contributions to accounting and community relations. A New England Leather Alliance Associate Card costs $25 for one year, and $40 for two years. It not only welcomes you into an active community but gives you free entry to the Fetish Fair Fleamarkets.
