Boston Unbuttoned is a free blog with the goal of helping people find sex-positive events and Boston, Massachusetts - and surrounding areas. This is a much-needed, well-presented web resource for both experienced kinksters and those just starting out and looking to meet and mingle with like-minded people. Boston Unbuttoned has a clear mission. Its goal is to promote consensual, sex-positive pursuits. Crucially, it recognises the diversity of our communities and is committed to helping people forge meaningful connections. Above all, Boston Unbuttoned stands for a bold, unapologetic, inclusive celebration of all the wonderful, varied forms of sexual expression out there. The goal is to inspire people to explore their sexuality to its full potential in a safe, supportive environment - and it shows you just how you can go about this in Boston. The blog notes that erotic culture in Boston can be tough to find and access. While the city is a vibrant, cosmopolitan centre, the sensual delights on offer are initially not as evident as in west coast cities like Seattle and that bastion of sexual freedom San Francisco. However, Boston Unbuttoned assures its readers that an erotic community most certainly does exist in Boston. It's just more challenging to find it. What's the reason for this, it muses. Perhaps it has something to do with Boston's Puritan heritage. But both residents and visitors need not ***. Plenty is going on in Boston for the sexual libertine. Sex-positive events are listed on Boston Unbuttoned's calendar. There's also a separate page listing 'Boston-Area Lush Life Events'. Here you can find links to meetups and links to other websites, such as Poly Boston, for the polyamorous. Boston Unbuttoned also lists classes and kink/sex education within the area. This includes Sex Education Institutes in nearby states, live workshops, and a link to the Kink Academy, which is a superb resource for online sex education videos. Additionally, you'll find a page on local fetish gear providers and links to resources that will help your spiritual and personal growth. Visit this lovingly curated blog, and you won't remain buttoned up for long.

The name of this blog - The Pervocracy - should alone be enough to entice kinksters. This is a fascinating feminist sexblog aimed at the BDSM community, and all articles are refreshingly sex-positive. So who is the power behind The Pervocracy? This is a personal blog charting the experiences of Cliff Pervocracy. The author says that "he" prefers the "he-type" pronouns, so we shall use those here. Cliff describes himself as 27-year-old living in the Boston area. His gender is "complicated, but some variety of transmasculine". Cliff's day job, according to the blurb, is working in a hospital emergency room. But his true identity is that of an "all-round completely horny slut". Again, it's refreshing to see this kind of honesty - and immediately makes one want to read more. What else do we learn about Cliff? Well, he is in a polyamorous relationship, and his boyfriend Rowdy (whom we're told has an appendage like a "coke can" - well, hello there!) is a recurring character on the site.. Rowdy has also written guest blogs. Additionally, you can expect to meet a regular cast of five other intriguing characters - Artemis, Sprite, Tommy, Alan, and Benny. Cliff has had associations with all of these men and women in his never boring, always kinky celebration of polyamory. Unfortunately, The pervocracy hasn't been updated since July 2018 (the date of the last post). However, it still represents a candid, informative resource on sexuality and kink - offering some great advice, always laced with wicked humour. His sexual shenanigans are a joy to read. Previous posts include some very witty commentary on the widely critically panned Fifty Shades of Grey, and a very engaging 30-day kink diary, which is well worth reading. Moreover, you can expect to find much-needed critiques of online sexism and media representation of the kink/BDSM lifestyle. It's also well worth checking out The Pervocracy for its list of online kink resources in the Boston area. And better still, Cliff provides four worksheets on kink, sex, and relationships that he's used in talks over the years.
