Everyone's kink tastes fall on a spectrum. Some people's proclivities make the Marquis of Sade look positively demure, while others crave something altogether less extreme. DSM New Jersey is a support group catering to people who are into "The Lighter Side of BDSM" in the New Jersey area. Diversity is central to DSM New Jersey. Its members come from all genders, races, sexual orientations, and ages. The key here is that there is no judgment. Members are given the opportunity to explore a kink lifestyle in a supportive, relaxed, and always empowering setting. Crucially, the group gives its participants opportunities to connect with people with similar interests, leading to the kind of fulfilling relationships that shape a longterm kink life. Given that DSM New Jersey leans towards lighter aspects of BDSM, it is ideal for those who are just starting out and exploring a kink lifestyle. This is the group's target group. These people may well have harboured kinky interests and fantasies for a long time, but have not yet found the right environment in which to express them. This can be a lonely place. DSM New Jersey offers these people a safe, affirming space in which to begin what is often a lifelong odyssey. BDSM practices facilitate both much-needed escape and vital places in which people can explore their bodies. But Newbies are often unsure how to get started. The group is open to all, whether people are more submissive or dominant - or are even currently unsure how they would define themselves. Through regular educational classes and other events, DSM New Jersey members can begin their journey, reassured that they will be supported each step of the way. Play parties are held at a dungeon within the New Jersey, and these facilities are kitted out with all the usual BDSM equipment. However, there is no pressure for DSM New Jersey members to push their limits. Additionally, the group hold public meetings, which are open to all members. Typical past events run by DSM New Jersey have included BDSM 'Speak Easy's' which offer an introduction to bondage, and nighttime munches.
