I am a 22 year old nonbinary, aromantic, asexual clinical psychology masters degree student. I am working to become a therapist and part of my school work includes learning about different communities that are often overlooked or underprivileged. That being said, this venture is more selfish than altruistic. As an asexual individual I have wanted to explore the kink community for a number of years now. I’ve been told there is a flourishing asexual community within the kink community and I am most interested in rigging and just like shibari cause it’s pretty, dom and sub relationships without a sexual component, sado-masochism, and the process of proper aftercare because I think it is just so important in any intimate experience to have proper care in place and I will expose myself, I read a lot of fanfiction written by those within the kink community and that is one of the things that makes me really happy to read about.
