ey**** Posted May 26 Yeah, so this is kinda the issue of course that a lot of STDs do not show symptoms for weeks, or even months. Of course in most cases they can still be cleared up without any harm being done, but part the reason folk test/treat in the first place is because most STDs do have a potential do a lot of harm if untreated.  Of course context applies also on how many sexual partners you have in a time period. One person having a monogamous relationship probably isn't going to need to test, but anyone having any form of causal sex, pick up play with either multiple partners or with people who also play with more than one partner - getting a test now and then is certainly a good idea. If something does flag in most cases it's just a course of antibiotics or *** for a week and boom, back to business But yep - in the UK you can get home kits for free, you might be able to find out better what is available but google suggests there are free options in California.  Like, especially as this is for piece of mind you won't need an expensive clinic trip.Â
