What makes a person trustworthy?

Recommended Posts

When do you feel comfortable trusting someone?

What is easy or difficult for you to trust them with?

What does a person do that makes them more trustworthy in your eyes?
The fact to truly communicate deeper feelings, interest, different pasion. Talking with your heart to the other person and getting to know who you really are from the inside
Consistency is key. Regardless of what they’re consistent about, believe that. Communication with a goal to understand.
When someone has integrity. Not worried about who's around or looking in, but always doing what is right in your heart.
Tough one. Sometimes you have to test em and find out. I understand it can be annoying to get tested, but how else can a person find out?
When the distance between what they say and what they do is short and straight. Then it’s easy to trust that person. Unreliable people should not be trusted, even when you think they mean well. Actions > intent.

I think the question is completely worded the wrong way. First off, the word "make" doesn't belong anywhere near trust, worthy, or trustworthy.  "Making" requires ingredients and an expected outcome.

Trust... is... trust is, even typing the word demands a certain kind of respect that is almost completely indefinable.

My personal opinion is that TRUST is everything, absolutely and without a doubt, everything in this existence that is binding.  Love is trust. Like is trust. respect is trust. Good is trust.  Safe is trust.  Self is trust. Life is trust.  And yes, even death is trust.  I could go on for days about that word, that feeling, that sentiment, that indefinable majestic most beautiful thing in the universe we call trust.  Sorry love, but trust comes first.  In every conceivable example, or situation, or person/place/thing... TRUST COMES FIRST, and TRUST GOES FIRST.

This is how I utilize my own trust within myself and therefore trusting, or not trusting others comes so easy it is effortless.  And the beauty of it is that there is no right or wrong involved either, its a flawless technique I abide by. Why? Because I trust my self.  And if you trust yourself, from now on live your life and the trust contained in others EXACTLY like this..... Ready?...

The next time you first meet another human being, trust them.  Put complete trust and faith in them.  You have zero reason NOT to trust them.  I mean, wtf you just met them.   And dont act like you trust them. Thats impossible. And you would immediately stay with your fellow un-trustees.

So, the question should be, "What makes a person NOT trustworthy?"

My answer is very simple.

They dont, or unfortunately, cant trust themself.

I pray for those who are like that.

And, they can kiss my ass on their way to hell!

Haha!

Im serious, try it.  It works.

Trust me.  ;-)

Makes sense Im a bunny!  LMAO

Healthy communication, consistency with behaviour and actions, empathy, setting boundaries, respect, confidence in who they are without the need to prove themselves.

Why is p.erson a forbidden word?!

Right?!? I was just wondering that

I would say absolutely everything about them.

And then it comes down to your wants /needs /desires and expectations.

ultimately - it's gut instinct.

you might be more trusting to someone if they have popularity or status - or - more cynical for same reason : all in the gut

after that it does become words, actions, consistency - and trust can mean different things

there is someone you might trust with deep secrets, but wouldn't trust to tie you up - or vice versa - and that could be anything from loyalty, being aware of their skills and so on

A nudge that the question was when do YOU feel comfortable trusting someone. There is no advice request lol

for when "do you" how long is a piece of string

there's no magical linear - and a lot of required context.
