Whenever I look through comments I see the most appalling unsolicited things being said. I can only imagine the inbox being even worse. Surely it has to be seen as disrespectful like 99% of the time. How do y’all put up with it?

Well, most times I consider, we've put ourselves out there, and some people have absolutely no manners, or consideration. But usually when there's that much disrespect, I hit the block button.

Everyone suffers because of the behaviour of these individuals. Your 99% estimate is correct, in my experience, so the chances of the 1% persuading me that they are genuine, are pretty much nil. I no longer expect to meet anyone; but, as I replied to a gentleman earlier whose thoughts were similar to yours, I’d rather be lonely than desperate. It’s awfully sad that it has to be this way. Good manners are free and available to all.

It's rare that I receive a nice message, but honestly it hasn't been so bad that it's affected my day. A quick block or report and I move on personally.

In some cases I think that’s true. But it seems like it is more often people see a role and automatically assume that they can talk to the person a certain way without consent because of that role which is terrible.

And this is why this kind of apps don't work anymore. Desperation and dumbness of some makes them not useful.

However a lot are just nice as well and only leave their compliments
