Like many others I joined the online BDSM and kink community Fetish.com several years ago. Dating was one small potential aspect of Fetish at the time for those who wanted it, but it was never remotely considered the driving fõrce.

As of the time of replying I've still never once downloaded the Fet app.

I chose it because it's easier to have the conversation about the kinks with people who understand or are looking for the same then it does to have with somebody who has never had any interest in them at all

I didn't for the sole purpose of dating. At the time, it was better than Fetlife. Now though, given the amount of dick pics received in 24hrs, im not that sure but I remain due to the friends here

1. Kink - though actually it’s a very very broad range of fetishes on here so there is a lot of potential for crossed wires and there’s no one size fits all.

2. People chat on here - ok, not everyone does and it’s still quite poor - but based on other sites I have been on, there’s a lot more chat than on those !

3. Free features are great - free likes, chats etc - for totally free - the features are really good compared to other sites !

I don’t avoid traditional dating sites, but the advantage of a site like this is that if I match with someone I can discuss my sexual preferences and hers without being immediately classified as inappropriate or weird. I can determine if we have compatible interests and then devote time and effort to develop a relationship instead of investing the time and effort first only to determine that we really aren’t compatible.
