đŸȘ Molasses Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup Crisco (shortening)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or nutmeg if substituting)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions
Melt the shortening in a small saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Add sugar, molasses, and egg. Beat well using an electric mixer.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and combine with a wooden spoon.
Chill dough in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls (about 1 teaspoon).
Roll each ball in granulated sugar.
Place on a greased or parchment-lined cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
Gently flatten each ball using the bottom of a glass.
Bake at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.

8 minutes was perfect for my oven.

Transfer parchment to cooling racks to prevent overbaking.

2 - 2.5 lbs of ***led potatoes cut into wedges, unless the potatoes are already on the smaller size

-put these potatoes in a baking tray and add in a mixture of

2 juiced lemons
Half a cup of olive oil
1.5 cups of chicken bone broth or stock
1 tbsp of oregano
2 teaspoons of salt (truffle salt for added depth)
5-10 grated garlic cloves

(Make sure this mixture is well mixed before putting on top of the potatoes)

-bake the potatoes for 45 minutes flipping halfway. For added crisp you can take most of the liquid out at the end and broil for around 5 minutes
