This app start sucks day by day. I wrote more than 60 characters says my message is too short. Now is even harder to get points.

The restriction is placed by the user you are messaging.  This is to prevent people from putting in little effort.  Write something about you, such as why you think you would be a good match to them based on what they have on their profile!

The absolute most you need to exceed is 300 characters.. type away

Just copy and paste the same message a few times, always sends then. Agreed it's a silly option to have though. I don't agree with the point that a short message means you've put no effort in. Slightly harsh.

I agree length of the message doesn’t always mean a lack of effort. Quantity over quality I believe applies here.

Nobody is typing out novels to go unread. If they are it's copy/pasted, so where's the effort. Let's be real, looks are the 1st attraction. If you have the looks, a simple "hi" will get you through the door.

It's a stupid restriction to put on a profile. It's hard enough on here to find someone that you can actually message for free without having to subscribe for the privilege! Especially new members. know it's to stop women from getting 100s of messages in their inbox, but surely it's better for them to sift through them and just reply to the ones they want, rather than getting next to zero messages? Not sure how it is in other parts of the world, but near me, there's hardly anyone active in months, and new members are a rarity. Think I'll be binning the app off soon. I've been on here for years without ever getting to meet anyone in person with it. It's hard enough to meet someone online here, let alone in real life!

You can set a minimum number of letters on your profile so people messaging you have to type a certain amount otherwise they can’t message

I don’t know if there was an option to set the word count when I first created my account but I don’t remember setting it. Someone told me they weren’t able to send me a message and that I should lower my word count. I went into my account and changed it to zero. Now I’m getting messages from people who previously weren’t able to contact me.

So what you're saying is, this person you wanted to message interested you SO much that you couldn't even make the effort to find twelve five-letter words to write to them in your opening message?

 

This, for all the gentlemen who are not going to listen anyway, is why the filter is an option.

Is it the lack of points or frustration your effort was ‘for nothing’? Filters are people’s personal limits. Be mindful and tolerant and respect that another person set those limits for their own personal reasons, it’s not about you. You can gets points multiple ways in here.
