Is kink a hobby?

Does kink act like a hobby? Does it keep you off social media or on it?

Not inherently in a normal hobby like sense. And it can turn into more so of a life style. Maybe with the emotional tendencies of connection and going out experiencing things relating to kink can be a hobby, or making things relating to it. But it’s more so a sense of being interested in it, and then actively participating in it as well for it to be a hobby.

Is this not a bit like asking if poker is a hobby? For some it’s something they have watched or had an interest ing, for others it’s something they enjoy periodically, for others it’s something that they actively involve in their life and for others it’s their whole identity.

Both but off more when I get more fun timezzzzz with others like play / kinky dates or just hanging out & just having kinky convos lol

Kink is a lifestyle for me. It forms the structure and rhythm of life.

Also… I don’t get the correlation between a hobby and social media… any hobby or involvement in any group or lifestyle could both take you away from social media as you explore and enjoy it or draw you towards social media related to that. Interest.

I think most people would argue it's not a hobby, but it certainly has charecteristics which overlap with being a hobby.   It also is something which overlaps a lot into sexual orientation, particularly within LGBTQ+ communities - different people would have different views on "yes, it overalps with my sexuality" and sexuality isn't a hobby.

Mind. Going to clubs, events, meets, etc. would kinda be hobby behaviour.

I prefer to call it a lifestyle and keeps me on social media to see how people think of my kinks and how I like theirs

Unfortunately, it keeps me on social media cause right now.I'm looking for someone so I spend more time here when I have someone.I'm not on that much when I am exchanging ideas
