Maybe you feel obligated (pleaser? ocd? analytical personality?) to perform a certain role or action, and can't get that out of your system unless there's no way that you can fulfill that trigger.
.
So, for the gag, you're not supposed to speak. So you can turn off your rational communication brain. For restraints, you can't move so you have to focus purely on receiving and the sensations. For blindfold or headphones, another sense is removed from the equation. When you know that certain sensations are off the table, there is no need to focus on them.

THIS IS THE ONE

Ha, then maybe it's worthwhile to see if you and your partner(s) can let go of performatism. Slow down, take your time, let go of any goals. Just being more in tune with the moment, playfulness. No expectations, no right or wrong. No focus on release. Feeling the tiniest of sensation, and appreciating it. Who knows, you may discover a new dimension! 😊
