Been caught staring

As the nicer weather (I'm UK based) is upon us, the sight of beautiful feet in public is slowly becoming common. I was in a DIY shop yesterday and spotted a lady with cute feet in some sexy shoes, I obviously pretended to be looking at some ***t right next to her, whilst having a good look.

Now, this got me thinking, I've never ever been caught staring at someones feet before, but just wondered, has anyone been caught staring at someones feet, and if so, what happened? Did they confront you? Or did they actually embrace it at all? Would love to know people's experiences if you've ever been caught having a little look

I’ve never been caught but I caught someone else looking at my feet and I gave him a little toe wiggle, never bothered me at all

I would confront you. Same as staring at any other part, don’t stare at people without consent. There are enough free resources and willing participants, don’t be gross

I'm going back something like 25 years. And it was a summer day and I was outside for lunch, dunno if I was going to the pub or sandwich shop - whatever.  And yep, lady sat on the grass, shoes off.  She clocked me and it was "yes, they're feet - everyone has them" - I apologised and kept walking - and it wasn't my greatest moment.

There's a lot I've learnt over the years since then.

Namely. You're not as discreet as you think you are.  Whilst there might be some knowing who will play along... and might be some who are "hey, cut it out" there's probably everyone else who notices and is too uncomfortable to say anything.  That, perhaps, they are aware what you are doing and don't know how to say "pack it in" and so just uncomfortably get through it.

Then there are those probably second guessing themselves on if you actually are staring at their feet or not, which can be a headfuck and also unsettling.

So, really - yep - as above - in a world of free resources, and people all too willing - don't creep on strangers.  It's fucking gross no matter how you try to spin it.

I bet they don’t. mostly because they either wondering why you’re staring at them or gauging if it would be worth the potential danger to confront you about it. It’s gross to oogle someone, if you have to *sneak* then you shouldn’t be doing it at all.
