VR and erotic roleplay

First of all.. who has used VR, not to watch porn but to interact with another human in roleplay (of a sexual nature)

I always thought of virtual reality as a game where your body is the controller and not much else, but with the rise in VR chat rooms and social VR, people are starting to realise things are more real than it originally seemed.

Lately I have been reading academic papers on the psychological effects and alternative uses of VR, I'm soon to take my mental health knowledge into game development as retrain as a game designer in September. I have always been fascinated by how the brain understands and realises reality and phantom limb syndrome and its treatment is one of the applications VR can help with. I urge you to look up phantom limb syndrome as it would take too long to explain the hows, whys and repercussions of this sometimes debilitating infliction, but put basically for this purpose it can be explained as the feeling of a lost limb still being there, like a phantom limb.

It has been found that people who use VR to socialise or just exist in VR are gaining a 'phantom sense' for limbs they never had, their brain has rewired itself to feel body parts that person has never had. A good example of this is people who create their own avatars, a body they may wish to live in and strangely the people who have ears and a tail are feeling it when people brush against them or grab them.

All reports say that phantom sense is really quite common and usually manifests as a tingle or soft touch, but those who have been in VR chatrooms for years with the same avatar are far more likely to feel full on contact but not in a directional ***, imagine being touched but not pulled or pushed, many do move as the brain braces for impact or balance.

So why am I telling you all this? Well, anonymous play with people all over the world in a body you feel comfortable in... erm, yes please, sign me up! And i can feel it, switch off at any moment and leave when i like? Take my ***!

Now this may be an alien concept to many, and please dont feel negative if you dont think this is the future of munches, play dates, scenes or dungeons, but for a second imagine all the toys on the market already for remote pleasure. With just a little planning and a pinch innovation, I believe there is a real strong future if only as a stepping stone to IRL.

Now hopefully you have already seen the other side of the coin, "if i can feel people touch me and it is anonymous, what is stopping unwanted contact?" When is the first VR s.a? Well, in the current wild west of VR chat rooms, the ERP (erotic roleplay) community have already figured this out, you see most rooms, dungeons or clubs in VR chatrooms are community made, and this means real people run these things so there are admins and bans available, but they have also been able to add all sorts of ways of allowing people to show experience, feedback and sometimes even ratings on respect, fun and other things. I myself haven't been to these clubs and for obvious reasons there are no videos easily available online I am aware of, but i have been to raves and night clubs, and let me tell you it only takes a few minutes to feel the potential here.

With the new metaverse bringing the office to your home, microsoft, bathesda and other key players bringing us AAA games designers and Unreal Engine 5 now at cinema quality, VR has never been so exciting..

So, what do you think? Will your next toy be a vr headset?

Also with full body tracking and haptic feedback goves and clothing dropping in price, needing phantom sense is all but not needed at all.

Well, I have thought about this and I do feel the field is going to expand exponentially. One of the reasons is that it would instantly appeal very heavily top a large section of the population - and with growing affordability for the necessary Hardware, I feel it's an easy market to tap. Personally, I have not tried any VR chat rooms or the like, but I have tried RPGs including ones where I've got a fairly naughty and that's pretty good if you're into it. But yeah, including haptic feedback into something like this would take it to a different level.
PS - at the same time thinking about this, I find the potential for addiction, uninformed use by underage kids and general misuse by the companies running them extremely high.

I have done this, I would watch a POV vr video while my girl watches the stream on her phone and tries to mimic the sensations in the video. It's real fkn hot đŸ”„ đŸ„” highly recommended.

Addiction is an interesting subject to discuss, and I am sure there there is a certain amount of addiction to any game but I dont think addiction is the correct word for it, I think it's going to be hard to not be in VR but because it will be so integral in our day to day.

Like i said before about the Metaverse and how the people at Facebook and Microsoft want us to work from home and as far as costs go, in a lot of cases it would be cheaper to buy all staff VR headsets and keyboards than pay for an office building and the extra costs that brings. Even more so if people really think about it, a vr office at home with no travel, that looks like the Bahamas with multiple resizable screens and you dont have to get dressed, over the hours wasted getting to and from work to an office with no natural daylight and that one member of staff you wish you could mute.

My point is i think it will be ***d upon us to work in VR, so socialising will be a simple step from there.. kink not too far behind.

POV VR is funny, looking down and seeing an alien pair of legs never gets old but im talking about VR clubs where everything is live and the people are there and interacting. The technology isnt there yet, but we do currently have people having mutual stimulation from across the internet, in vr, live and successful.

I also think that Identity is becoming more fluid with furries, scalies, trans and body image people really taking advantage of how easy it currently is to choose how you are seen.
