As someone who is newish to swinging and polyamory in Virginia, what is this scene like out here? Where can I go for clubs, festivals, bars, etc that are kink friendly? I'm looking to find like minded people out here with my partner but we don't know where to start. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Back in the day (i.e., early 2000s), Fredericksburg had a HUGE reputation as "swinger central" for Northern Virginia. I don't know if that's still the case.

I've heard rumors about swingers circles in Ashburn. A few friends who used to live there often commented on certain houses using white stones to decorate their landscaping as a signal to others "in the lifestyle." Sort of the local equivalent of an upside down pineapple.

If you're on other fetish-based social media/websites, there are groups to be found, but it may take some digging to find them.

The best bet is good old networking through munches and get togethers to see who you can connect with.
