Recently got a new cage. This one is closer to the fit of myself. So now that it’s quite drastically smaller 2.5 inches smaller cage. Is it okay that when I’m getting hard in the cage that my boner is basically going upwards towards my pelvis does that mean I have the cage on wrong or is it doing its job. Me and my gf are both new to the chastity side of things so just wanting to be safer than sorry.

You're boner is going to try and manifest when it wants. You're fine with the size you have, but for serious chastity you don't want it to be able to get even slightly erect. That's hard to get the exact size needed... Too small and you castrated yourself .. too big and you get uncomfortable erections. It's a trial and error thing.

Totally normal — in fact, what you’re describing is exactly what’s *supposed* to happen with a well-fitted cage. When the cage is smaller (by 2.5 inches in your case), there’s no room for the erection to extend forward, so it redirects *upward* toward the pelvis. That pressure/discomfort is the cage doing its job — reminding you who’s in control 😉

Just make sure:
- The base ring isn't cutting off circulation or causing numbness.
- You're not experiencing sharp *** — discomfort is normal, *** is not.
- You can still *** comfortably and clean the area.

Since you’re both new to chastity, you might want to start with wearing it for shorter intervals (6–8 hours) and gradually increase. Your body needs time to adapt, especially to a tighter fit.
