Delicious insurrection, once buried A monochrome hue To mask the *** of past exposed heartstrings Heralding this lover's dark curfew. Today something special happened. Oh joy! Tress whispered and birds sang A dove flew In its beak a leafy twig signifying receeding flood waters Lover's return So skip a jig or two Ignited by the ancient trail Of messages so eloquently expressed Witty, creative and all the rest. Today a kitten crept silently by But stopped to caress..... I could cry. x
