Financial domination, or Findom as it's sometimes known, is a niche fetish genre that has been growing in recent years due to the rise of the internet and the increasing search that people – usually men – have for variety.
 

In traditional domination scenes, the submissive would visit his mistress for a physical encounter which would involve such activities as whipping, bondage and humiliation. In financial domination, this may be part of the interaction, but primarily the relationship is based on financial domination and control of the submissive.

The mistress, or goddess, controls the slave’s finances in a number of ways. This can include the slave giving the mistress a proportion of their income in tribute, paying for online shopping items for the goddess and even subsidising their vacation.

The life of a ‘pay pig’

Submissives, or slaves, in the financial domination scene are known as ‘pay pigs’ or ‘walking ATMs’ (Automated Teller Machine, the American term for cashpoints). For the pay pig, seeing that their goddess is happy and satisfied with spending their hard-earned money is part of the pleasure.

Many pay pigs will enter into webcam sessions with their mistresses so that they can be financially controlled. Goddesses charge for these sessions, often by the minute, and the cost of a single call to a financial dominatrix can be extremely expensive. During the call the dominatrix may degrade and humiliate the submissive, making him conduct humiliating tasks.
 

If the pay pig begs to orgasm, the goddess may decide to give him release – at a price! Sometimes a goddess may decide that the pay pig should not ejaculate at all. This frustrates the paying slave who may then need to pay even more to call the goddess next time.

Some pay pigs meet their goddess in person to take them on shopping trips or visits, to pay for expensive trips to the theatre or a restaurant, or even for a fabulous holiday. However, some pay pigs will never get to meet their goddess but might see photographs of her, and perhaps her friends, enjoying spending his hard-earned money.

Control of everything

In some extreme cases, the pay pig will give control to the goddess of all aspects of their life including their credit card numbers and their bank accounts. Some findoms will demand personal details of their pay pigs and use these to blackmail their slaves, asking for increasingly large sums of money otherwise they will tell the pay pigs family and business colleagues about their fetish. This ‘consensual blackmail’ requires a high degree of trust between the pay pig and the financial domination. There is obviously the opportunity for the slave to be exploited in this situation.

Ruin

If you visit financial domination websites, you will see that many slaves fantasise about the idea of ruin. In other words, that the pay pig will end up giving everything to the findom so that they have no money left to spend on rent, or for meals.
 

One slave ended up living in his car so that the financial domination could have access to all of his money on a monthly basis. Another became so obsessed with his mistress that he moved into a basic flat with few possessions, working for at least 18 hours a day, and giving the mistress most of his salary. For these slaves, ruin has become a reality rather than a fantasy.
 

The ethical findom?

With financial domination, findoms are sometimes criticised by embittered men who have entered a relationship based on being a pay pig and then ended up losing a lot of money or being close to ruin.

The truth is that most findoms do not want to financially ruin their pay pigs and act ethically in their dealings with them. The bigger danger is that pay pigs become intoxicated by the power that the financial domination has over them and lose control of the fantasy aspects of findom, letting it control their entire life and existence.
