I’m curious, before more advanced play (larger diameter and longer), do you utilize a lube shooter to add extra lubrication on the inside or just rely on external applications?

Do you have any “rules” as to when a lube shooter is used versus not?

I'd be careful with coconut oil. Every time I've used it, it has broken up the fecal material in the colon and made things messier than most would like.

Would never use one. You're basically turning the lube into an enema and inviting extra mess and liquid. As long as anything being inserted is adequately and properly lubricated you are doing the right thing.

Some helpful tips
Use a silicone based lubricant instead of water based (I’ve only done external lubrication and it’s worked great)
Don’t do anything that numbs unless you want to make a mess
