Issues around reporting members more than once

Recommended Posts

I've noticed recently that when making a report to the support team I often receive the automated message "You already reported this member!"

I can see a logic to this new feature as it prevents members being targeted by spam/hate reporting and reduces the amounts of reports the team then has to process.

However I also find many situations where it does not seem efficient or to work in the best interests of the site. One which frequently pops up is that I make a report for one issue - drųgs glorification, contact information in a profile etc - then once I've submitted the report I'll notice a different (and often more serious) breach of the ToU being committed, such as FinDomming/other financial solicitations or even best!ality in one instance.

Another example where this new feature would not appear to work towards keeping the site safe and clear of unwanted behaviour occurs when reporting comments. If a photo comment in the news feed or such gets reported (let's say because it mentions financial interests) the relevant member may receive points and a warning, but most importantly the comment will likely get removed. However if the same member has posted several comments of the same ilk, anyone here trying to do the right thing can no longer report all of these comments and presumably they remain up on the site? That may be a false assumption and I apologise if I'm wrong, but if not then reporting one comment seems to now be a little bit of a waste of time if a dozen duplicates don't get dealt with/removed.

Does Fetish have a preferred procedure for us to deal with reporting members in these circumstances, especially when we discover they are committing illicit activity post-initial report?

Am I alone in finding this frustrating and a(nother) turn-off to making reports at all?

Whole site is full of scammers and the app/moderators doesn’t care cuz it adds more members sadly
I dunno, I reported a guy that was promoting girls being bulimic, they removed him by the next day 🤷‍♀️

It does feel like that forsure

Well I keep getting reported for just asking basic questions about the people on this platform in general. Trying to get a better understanding of what is real in here and whats BS.
I have reported several as well and a few are still here.

You hit a bullseye on this one my friend. Been my complaint for months. That and the amount of clout chasers/wannabe influencers/OnlyTramps advertisers is beyond stupid, though I have seen recently they are starting to just direct mod the profile and remove the advertisers info which is nice. I'm not here to be sold your content, and if I wanted it I know where to go without your assist. This isn't a site to promote your wares according to the T&C thankfully.

It may look like that, however far from it.  It's a constant battle of "Whack-a-mole".

The reporting helps.  However, we also need to show due diligence in investigating reports, as sadly, some people take rejection badly and make malicious reports!

FetMods have the ability to make multiple reports on a profile.  So, if you get those legitimate multiple reporting scenarios, please let one of us know.

On a general note, the more people reporting a profile, the easier it is for the site to take action, so, I would ask everybody to report when you come across a profile that breaks our Code of Conduct.

If you are talking about your recent forum questions, they were rejected as those questions had already been asked.  You weren't reported; you were rejected for duplicating topics.  This topic was approved as it covered an area not already being discussed.

But why not be able to ask it Gaia. And see if answers change or there are new members that would like to respond

I’m afraid I have nothing helpful to add, just that I’ve found the same issue which is beyond frustrating, to add to other frustrating issues here🤦🏻‍♀️
Typical of Fet rolling out changes without thinking about the consequences. Almost 2 months since the default message filters disaster and nothings changed. The people that run this site/app are totally clueless.

Definitely not alone.

Thank you, much appreciated - I'll endeavour to do that for more serious cases. Enjoy your weekend 😊

Maybe you should stop reporting so many people

Thank you, we all love a helpful and constructive comment and I wish I'd just thought of not reporting matters earlier.

However some crazy people here - such as myself - do still care about the community so that just isn't going to work.

Perhaps if some other people cared enough to pick up some of the slack (rather than troll the forums) then I wouldn't need to 🤔

I literally have someone who stole my photo and is using it as their own and no amount of reporting has done anything, I don’t even think they’re going through. Like I legit feel unsafe and I feel stuck with this..

Why not punish/ban people for making very clearly malicious reports because of rejection butthurt? 🤨

Like, you can see the DM message threads, right? You can see how the conversation actually went down?

I imagine it's probably something like this:

Person A: "Hello! I want to fuck and/or do my kinks to you!"

Person B: "No thanks, not interested."

Person A: "How dare you reject me!"

Person B: /Blocks Person A.

Person A: /In a fit of rejection rage, tries to get Person B kicked off the site/app by reporting all sorts of bullshit about them that didn't happen and wasn't true. Scammer, fake, fin, whatever. Very much a "If I can't have you, then no one can!" mindset.

Call me fucking crazy, but I think Person A is the one who should get punished/banned in that situation. They seem like a toxic asshole who shouldn't be here anyways.
