In the Genesis, creation story. You've gotta remember that the Torah IS the old testament BEFORE the Christian rewrites and redactions. Even that version was taken from the Babylonian creation myth, hence "And God said 'Let us create man in our image." Yahweh was one of 70 *** of the great god El, the most famous of his siblings being Ba'al. Also why the first commandment is "I am the Lord, YOUR God. You shall not have any other gods before ME." Not "I am the ONLY God." There are a lot of arguments over those "typos," but they were intentionally written that way for a reason. Ask a Jew, they'll tell you about Lilith.

Just checked my story, Lilith was in the Talmud. She didn't make it into the Torah, but she's still well known among the Jewish faith.

I struggle with this too. It can be difficult because when people in church do hear kinky, they think passing partners around or orgies(adultery); not I like being tied up and made to beg for it. I also experience that because of this I recieve some distance from people in the kink community too. Especially being a male who identifies as submissive. I think people perceived the idea of a Christian male being submissive as suspicious. To help me not give up on this part of myself I try to remember St. Augustine of Hippo (perhaps the greatest theologian in Christianity [maybe even all religions]) wrote that everything in the Bible that can be said of a man can also be said of a woman in his book The Confessions, though I can't remember the exact place (it's a great read for anyone, especially Christians, and I highly recommend reading it). So I try to hold on to my submissive side as a piece of me that can honor God and demonstrate the equality and and self giving love that God asks of me.

That being said, I do try to follow three rules regarding sex and relationships, especially when seeking someone in the BDSM community: monogamy, no exploitation (conscientious and fun exploitation built in trust and care is not what I am referring to here), and no one significantly younger (half your age +9).

I agree with this, and id also say that in all sincerity, the reason I didn't go to church is because there isn't a church where I would feel comfortable discussing kink. That's actually a lie, idgaf I'll talk KINK and/or YHWH/Yeshua/HOLY GHOST FIRE any time, any where, with any one, at the slightest indication the listener might be receptive.
KINK is a huge part of my life and identity, and (within age -appropriate group settings) if I'm not able to express myself (appropriately, meaning be allowed to discuss and contemplate the intersection of KINK and the King) then it's not somewhere that I belong.

I can tell you first-hand, my relationship with YHWH has widened, and my understanding of who He is and how He operates has gotten so much deeper as I've learned my own place and role in my own relationship with my sub, and even now as I'm single, I continue to learn. Holy holy holy every new life experience just shows me another facet of his Glory, and what can I do but become more grateful and do what I can to share that glory with whoever is willing to listen.
