Some private pix blurred and others not?

Recommended Posts

Curious as to why when I upload some pictures to the “private gallery” some are blurred and others aren’t?

Figured all the pictures in the private gallery would be blurred. And also wouldn’t it make sense to know that they are blurred when you look at your profile and have a way to toggle the view from clear/blurred? As if you were seeing it as another user?
FETMod-HG

There are three categories of images on FET - SFW (safe for work), ASFW (almost safe for work), and 18+.

The app is governed by the restrictions imposed by app store and play store so can only show SFW images from the outset, and only the Kink Academy Forum (which must be pre-approved posts and comments so always SFW).  If you log into your account on fetish.com, you will instantly be able to see all forums in the app.  If you go to settings on the website and enable ASFW content you will be able to see some of the blurred images on the app.  However the 18+ images are only visible on the website, and only when you have verified yourself as being over 18 (even though the whole website and app are for 18+).  Its the regulations!

Clear as mud? Shout out if that's not making sense.

I don’t get it.
I’ve seen photos of full nudity. I try to upload some rope work photos and it’s called “too spicy”

I’ve made the same complaint and they said I violated their terms! It seems like other “free” members are allowed to do things others can’t. I think it’s because we’re men and they only want to see naked women? That’s just my guess

Your guess would be wrong.  As FetMod-HG said,  "The app is governed by the restrictions imposed by app store and play store so can only show SFW images from the outset"

Now if you are on the website version you have different restrictions.  In addition it also depends how your own image rules are set.  For example, I may not want to see NSFW images of men etc. I can set NSFW images differently by what gender.

I shared some warhammer stuff and it said too spicey like what?
So any woman can post pictures of her tits, but I can’t even post a pic of myself without a shirt on…great. Double standards

You aren't listening.  Or you have an agenda, not sure which.  Re-read what I wrote.

If it was not your own photographs, it would be blocked as copyright infringement.

Yea it seems like crazy double standards.
One of my photos was edited and didn’t even have nudity.
But it showcased some great rope work.
And it was called “too spicy” for the app. And could only be seen on the web version.
But women can have full nudity on the app.

Please educate yourselves on the rules for photo classification.  These will drive what is allowed on the app and websites in different categories:

ASFW (people)

Almost Safe For Work (ASFW) images of people. For example:

  • - Skin and body parts are allowed but NO exposed genitals or silhouettes through clothing.

ASFW (objects)

  • - Caricatures, illustrations and artwork without heavy sexual context.
    - Soft BDSM/fetish items not used for penetration e.g. restraints/handcuffs.
  • Almost Safe For Work (ASFW) images of objects. For example:

NSFW (people)
Not Safe For Work (NSFW) images of people. For example:

  • - Any sexual activity, like blowjobs, masturbation or sexual intercourse
  • - Nipple or genital stimulation
  • - Genitalia/anus are entirely or partially, visible
  • - Genitalia that's obvious through clothes
  • - Fetish or other clothes/worn accessories that restrict view or movement or that obstruct breathing
  • - BDSM play
  • - Use of sex toys
  • - Sperm or ***s
  • - Profile owner has to be visible.

NSFW (objects)

Not Safe For Work (NSFW) images of objects. For example:

  • - Caricatures or illustrations and artwork with pornographic content
  • - Sex toys
  • - BDSM accessories, eg: gas masks, gags

I can confirm there are lots of naked men, bodily parts etc on the app once ASFW is enabled in the website. I can see just about everything. However when I look at my own photos, it shows as blurred the ones which those who don’t have ASFW enables wouldn’t be able to see. That doesn’t mean they’re hidden for everyone though. It’s definitely accepted for men to post spicy photos.

If you’re meaning the ones in a personal chat, ridiculous things come up as spicy in there but you can still see them when you click on them. It’s just a warning, which is often very much off the mark. AI is learning 😉

This still makes no sense to me the way the site is setup. I would think it would be easy.

Private pics (need to ask permission)
Public (anyone can see)

I assumed that to the public they would see blurred where my private pics are but I can’t be sure I can’t see my own profile as a user does. So I keep asking and can’t get a straight answer.

Can I not put a dick pic in my private gallery? I think imo tired and it showed as blurred to me. But that doesn’t help me. If a person gets access to my private what do they see?
-no image
-blurred image
Unblurred image?

I also see blurred images in my public photos. So what is seen by public users?
-no image
-blurred image
-unblurred

The way I think it works is the blurred are never shown to anyone so why have them?

You can put a dic pick in public and private. It will show blurred to anyone not enabling allow ASFW in the website. That’s unless the system categorises it as 18+. But I see dick pics on peoples profiles in the app with ASFW enabled in the website.

When I look at my pictures, the ones that are now SFW show blurred, so I can see which show like that for SFW people. But definitely no one can see anything private unless you give them access. That’s certain.

I took the picture and sent it to someone. But they put it as spicey lol
What’s silly is my own images are blurred from me to see. I can’t even view my own pics
Okay I think I get it. But as the person above me said, our own images show as blurred which gives the impression that they would be blurred for everyone but the truth is that some people can see them unblurred, just not the owner of the photos. They see them blurred.

Ahh that happens a lot and makes no difference whatsoever. They can still click the image and see it.
